"Learning Functional Anatomy through Movement"
Resource 2 is designed to teach functional anatomy through movement and video. Rather than rote learning muscles and their attachments, students will be asked to 'design' a limb to reproduce the movement and then learn the detail AFTER they know what the muscle does and where it is.
To further enhance the experience, the teacher and/or student would use siliconcoach Pro or siliconcoach Student software and the supplied video clips to analyse the movement using the drawing tools and with frame by frame accuracy. Additional learning activities will enable to student to associate the technical details of the muscles (eg name, attachments) to the movements they have just seen and/or performed.
Movements described:

For each movement there is a skeleton clip, a muscle clip and a fully clothed clip plus clips of athletes doing movements using the muscle group of interest.

These resources are not intended to replace text books nor do they go into the detail of these books, they do however offer an innovative and practical way of presenting information.
