ECB county coaches get tips from siliconcoach team

3rd July, 2008, in Siliconcoach, Sport, Workshops

The siliconcoach UK team have recently completed a third series of training workshops in partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board. As a follow-up to a series of successful workshops held with First-class counties and national coaching staff in 2006/7, this latest round of training was attended by over 35 coaches from regional county cricket clubs, many of whom currently work with young emerging players at development level around the country. The workshops, held at Headingley Indoor Cricket Centre, Lords Cricket Ground, Somerset County Cricket Club, and The ECB National Cricket Centre in Loughborough, were designed to introduce coaches with ranging computer experience to siliconcoach Pro and TimeWARP in an interactive teaching environment. Attendees were also given an insight to the fundamentals of video analysis best practice, enabling them to make the best use of their new coaching tools when they returned to their respective counties. Upcoming workshops led by the siliconcoach UK team will be with the ICC Europe staff at Lords, and with Coaching Highlands in Scotland in February.
