8th December, 2008 Canterbury Cricket launches Video Analysis System
Canterbury Crickets Centre of Excellence has this week added a world class video analysis system to its operation. Using siliconcoach Pro and TimeWARP video analysis software in conjunction with large LCD screens and several strategically placed cameras around the Centre of Excellence batsman and bowlers can now work on their techniques either aided by a coach or using TimeWARP with its capability's of instant delay/ replay function and LCD screens positioned behind the batsman they can work on self analysis and practice.

A recent addtion to siliconcoachs Ambassador program,Tionette Stoddard, last week claimed Gold in the womens skeleton event at the Americas Cup competition round two held in Calgary this follows on from Tionettes form in finishing 2nd in the first round in Park City, Utah.Tionette is clearly showing great early season form leading into a World Cup season, well done Tionette keep it up.

The siliconcoach UK team have recently completed a third series of training workshops in partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board. As a follow-up to a series of successful workshops held with First-class counties and national coaching staff in 2006/7, this latest round of training was attended by over 35 coaches from regional county cricket clubs, many of whom currently work with young emerging players at development level around the country. Ricky Pointing has been sharpening his batting skills with siliconcoach TimeWARP, before departing for the West Indies.The video footage was fed through the plasma screen, on a five-second delay, enabling Ponting to play a stroke and then watch it replayed immediately on TV.

The siliconcoach UK team have taken centre stage in a large scale demonstration of video analysis at the recent ECB Coaches Association conference held at Warwick University. During three presentations led by Kevin Shine, Head of the ECB Fast Bowling Programme, over 300 delegates were shown how the Pro and TimeWARP systems can be used to give valuable feedback to players within the training environment.
