siliconcoach - In the field

Video analysis can assist in many areas of development, but at the same time prove to be a fun interaction with users, a great example of this is when siliconcoach video analysis software product, TimeWARP, is used in conjunction with products such as Crazy Catch rebound nets and PLAYM8 children's inclusive play products. There is a general agreement in today's society about children becoming more active, but, we cannot ignore the fact that society as a whole is now engaged through technology, therefore how can we combate the growing issue of getting kids active and being engaged?

Using TimeWARP, siliconcoachs hands free instant feedback with a built-in delay function kids, coaches, athletes, parents and teachers can now engage in the best of both worlds- be active and use technology to learn and engage with.

siliconcoachs marketing man, Brandon Evans, recently ran a series of trials with primary school teachers and children using the two products above, and had this to say "It was almost a terrifying experience to see 20 kids in one place looking at you then thinking how I am going to manage them, having one 18 month old at home was a challenge! but once we got operational with Crazy Catch and the PLAYM8 products and ran TimeWARP as an instant replay system the kids were away and the teachers, well they had time to engage with the kids and not worry about their whereabouts, it was incredible to see"

Paul Norton, a primary school teacher in attendance believed this is the way forward for future activitys with kids at school, sighting that one of the features within TimeWARP called tagging that allows you to tag key events post event therefore creating a log of video clips of kids performing that could easily be integrated into school reports.
