Capture video
- Direct capture from a digital camera (MiniDV, some USB, some high definition cameras but as standard DV via Firewire only. NOTE: this option is NOT available on all high definition cameras).
- Capture video from 2 MiniDV cameras at the same time to create one composited file or two individual files. (Pro v.7 only)
- Import video files from other sources such as avi, wmv, MPEG1, MPEG2 (from DVD cameras), MPEG4, AVCHD (H264 High Definition). (Pro v.7 only)
- Capture from analog devices (security cameras, TV, VCR) using an analog to digital converter (sold separately).
- Set capture time limit.
- Quick Present means one click from start capture to analyse
- Pause the capturing to cut out unwanted periods but keep one video file.

- Use all the analysis features as normal but the software records everything you do, including your voice – over if desired.
Save, present and share
- Export screen shots as jpg files ready to be imported into other programmes using the screen shot tool.
- Copy a selected area of the analysis screen to the clipboard for easy insertion into your favourite presentation or text editing software.
- Export your recorded analysis as a high or low quality wmv, composited avi, to CD ROM, VCD (for playback on a DVD player), Siliconcoach player.

- Organisations can use the unique web based ReportPAC Technology to disperse analysis guidelines (Technique Wizards) and collect the results back into a central database for further analysis and coach support.

License Management System
- Move your Siliconcoach license from one PC to another PC, this is great if you get a new PC and want to get up and running fast, or if you want to switch between a home PC and office PC.
- License server helps you to manage your own licenses if you have more than one, or are taking care of licenses for an organization.
- Robust license means if you need to reformat the hard drive or reinstall the operating system on the PC, your license is still intact and ready for use once you install your Siliconcoach product again.

Optimal Computer Specifications
- Internet connection.
- Windows®7 32 and 64 bit.
- CD read/write.
- Sound card.
- 4GB RAM
- At least 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo or similar with at least 4 GB RAM.
- Separate graphics card with 512 or more MB video RAM.
- 320 GB or more free hard disk space for video storage
- 1280 X 1024 or larger monitor.
- Pro 7 only: If you want a dual camera setup you will need 2 Firewire cards and 2 MiniDV cameras. There is no dual USB Converter option.

What about a mac?
Yes Pro 6, Pro 7, Timewarp 2, Timewarp 3 Timewarp 4 and Digitiser 6 will run on an Intel Mac running Windows XP, Vista and Win 7 (Pro 7 and Timewarp 4 only) under Apple Bootcamp but there are some caveats, please read about them here .
No siliconcoach software will run directly under the Macintosh operating system. Although they technically will run under Parallels or VMWare, you cannot access the Firewire ports using these emulation programs so we would only recommend using Bootcamp. You will need to have a legal copy of Windows XP SP2 , Vista or Win 7.
